Resources > Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Clear answers to common questions about our services, capabilities, and processes.

1. How do I get a quote from GES Logistics?
The fastest way is through the "Get a Quote" button on any of our service pages. Tell us what you're shipping, where it's going, and when you need it. Our team typically responds within 4 business hours with a tailored proposal. For complex projects or specialized cargo, we'll set up a call to understand your needs in detail before quoting.
2. What services does GES Logistics actually cover?
The full logistics chain. Sea, air, road, and rail freight to and from 100+ countries. Warehousing and fulfillment across our facilities in the Kingdom. Customs clearance and trade compliance. Domestic and cross-border transportation. Project logistics for oversized and complex cargo. Consulting and 4PL services. If it's logistics, we likely do it.
3. Where are GES Logistics's facilities located?
We operate three flagship facilities in Saudi Arabia: MegaHub Riyadh (our flagship 3PL ambient warehouse in As Sulay), Jeddah Logistics Terminal (35,000 sqm at Jeddah Islamic Port), and Dammam Logistics Terminal (25,000 sqm at King Abdul Aziz Port). Globally, we have 40+ direct offices across 16 countries and network reach across 100+ countries.
4. Can GES Logistics handle defense and dual-use cargo?
Yes. GES Logistics is ITAR-registered, making us one of a small number of Saudi forwarders authorized to handle defense, military, and dual-use cargo. Our Defense, Space & Government (DSG) business unit serves defense contractors, military entities, space programs, and government projects with full compliance and chain of custody. Access to these services is subject to applicable regulatory requirements and approvals.
5. Can I track my shipment in real time?
Yes. All our shipments are tracked through our Transport Management System (TMS) with live GPS visibility on every vehicle and milestone updates on every freight movement. Our client portal gives you live shipment status, inventory visibility, document access, and analytics. Integration with your ERP or e-commerce platform is available for enterprise clients.
6. How long does customs clearance take in Saudi Arabia?
Standard import clearance typically takes 24 to 72 hours from arrival, assuming all documentation is in order and no physical inspection is required. Goods requiring regulatory approvals (SFDA for food and pharma, SASO for product conformity, CITC for electronics, MOD for defense) can take longer depending on the agency. Our customs team works to minimize delays through proactive documentation review before cargo arrives.
7. Does GES Logistics work with international companies that don't have a Saudi entity?
Yes. We regularly support international businesses entering or operating in the Saudi market without a local entity. We can handle import clearance, warehousing, fulfillment, distribution, and 4PL management on behalf of foreign companies, including managing all interactions with Saudi regulatory bodies. For some structures, you may need a local representative for customs declarations - our team can advise on the right setup.
8. Is GES Logistics hiring?
GES Logistics is growing across Saudi Arabia and globally. We're often looking for experienced freight specialists, customs brokers, warehouse operations professionals, drivers, and technology talent. Visit our Careers page for current open positions, or send your CV through the contact form even if no role is listed - we keep applications on file for future opportunities.
