The Big Stuff. Handled Properly.

Some cargo doesn't fit in a container. Some projects have no room for error. For those moments - the oversized industrial equipment, the defense installation, the exhibition that has to be ready on opening day - GES Project Logistics is built. We plan, engineer, and execute the moves that need more than a booking form.

Heavy Lift & Out-of-Gauge (OOG)

Out-of-gauge cargo is anything that extends beyond the standard container frame - or exceeds standard weight limits. Moving it safely and legally requires route surveys, engineering assessments, port coordination, permits, and specialist equipment. We've done this across Saudi Arabia and internationally, and we bring that experience to every project.

Energy and industrial companies moving large equipment, construction companies transporting prefabricated structures, manufacturers importing or exporting heavy machinery, and any business whose cargo has ever been told "that won't fit."

We start with your cargo dimensions and weight. From there, we conduct a feasibility study, identify the best mode and routing, secure the necessary permits and approvals, coordinate with ports and carriers, arrange the right equipment, and supervise the move from origin to destination.

Route surveys and feasibility studies

Weight and dimension engineering assessments

Port and berth coordination

Oversized transport permits and road closure coordination

Crane, rigging, and lifting coordination

Lashing and securing to international cargo standards

Heavy-lift vessel, break-bulk vessel, lowboy truck, and chartered aircraft coordination

Project Cargo Planning

The most expensive mistakes in project logistics happen before the cargo is loaded. An overlooked permit, an underestimated route restriction, a port that can't handle the weight - these are problems our planning team finds before they become your problem. We assign dedicated project managers to sit alongside your team, understand the project, and build a logistics plan that accounts for everything.

Infrastructure and construction projects, energy sector developments, defense procurement programs, and any project where logistics is complex enough to need its own dedicated plan and management team.

We start with a logistics scoping session - understanding your cargo, your timeline, your sites, and your constraints. From there we build the full logistics plan: route, mode, sequence, risk register, timeline, and budget. We then track the plan through execution using our LPMS (Logistics Project Management System), with live milestone updates and a shared stakeholder portal.

Logistics scope definition

Route and mode feasibility analysis

Risk identification and mitigation planning

Full project logistics execution plan

Budget estimation with contingency

LPMS access for live tracking and stakeholder visibility

Chartered & Multimodal Solutions

Some projects need a ship. Some need a plane. Many need both - plus road legs to get cargo from port to site. GES designs multimodal solutions that combine ocean, air, road, and rail into the most efficient, lowest-risk journey for your cargo. And when scheduled services won't cut it, we charter.

Full aircraft charter

When your cargo needs a dedicated plane. Cargo aircraft, wide-body passenger aircraft, or specialized freighters.

Full vessel charter

For large-volume or project cargo that needs a dedicated ship.

Part-charter

Share a vessel or aircraft with other project cargo at a lower cost.

Multimodal design

Ocean + Road, Air + Road, Rail + Road, Ocean + Rail (Landbridge) - or any combination your project requires.

Defense, Space & Government (DSG)

GES Logistics is one of the very few freight forwarders in Saudi Arabia that is ITAR-certified - meaning we're legally authorized to handle defense equipment, military cargo, and dual-use goods. We work with government agencies, defense contractors, and international suppliers operating in the Kingdom, and we treat every defense shipment with the compliance rigor it demands.
